Actual Text:
416 8944 Cpl Jenner 103 Squadron RAF Nicosia BFPO53 March 9 dear daddy I have just heard from Ethel that The Elms is going to be pulled down and new small houses built instead. Is this true? In your recent letter you said luxury flats, does this mean a new building put up or The Elms converted as it stands? I hope it is not going to be pulled down. That would be awful and I can see no necessity for it. Anyway can you tell me whether Ethel has heard rumours or is true. Ian posted your letters this morning, together with that to Laurie Milbank so all is well now I expect. Anyway I thought they knew the banks address. David's contribution: – Love from all three PS David conducts and dances to music. He also claps to rhythm, much to the amusement of the chaps round a jukebox.
