Actual Text:
Priory College Schools Boys School The East Drive, Priory Road December 15, 1913 Dear Sir, in reply to yours of the 12th instance re-Mr Piper: Mr Piper is leaving me because I am making some changes. He is a very good teacher for a man of his limited experience. I may say the same of his discipline. He is a man of good moral character. Indeed I do not know anything against him. He is an abstainer, as far as I know. He does not smoke. He can teach most subjects generally taught in a good school. I am afraid he is not very proficient in sports. He is very willing and obliging and I am sure you will find him a useful colleague always ready to help. Yours faithfully W.J.Bates
