Cabbitas, Thring and Co. 88 Sackville Street, W 88 Sackville Street, W 15 Dec 1919 Private and confidential notice of vacancy your use only H Large, Esq., The grammar school, Streatham, London, SW 16 Informs us he requires a junior master in January, to take general elementary subjects with form one – boys of about 10 years of age. A master willing to take an interest in the games would be welcomed and if the master could help in the higher forms he would be given some work higher up in the school the teaching hours are from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM daily and we think the master can be free from noon on Saturday till the following morning. The post would allow a candidate time for private reading. The school is an old established private school containing 260 boys, day boys. Salary offered, £160 per annum, non-resident. The salary will increase if the master gives satisfaction. Write promptly yet carefully to Mr large; mention that you have heard of the vacancy from us: state of age; place or places of education; refer to your subjects; say whether you would take any part in games; send copies of dated testimonials and give references.
