Page I of 1 Can't help a great deal but am copying this to our Historian, Cliff Rogers who may or may not be able to help further. My records con?rm that 4351 Cst Anthony Leon Moate died of a gunshot wound on 8 April 1949. At that time he would only have been in his ?fth month in the BSAP (British South Africa Police - which was the name at that time) so was probably still in training.
