My dear Harry and Minnie
I received yours with thanks and Minnies two PCs. I read your aunt's letter and then post it; if her conscience can stand that hard knock without doing something in return I shall conclude she is a stubborn selfish money grabber. What say you. I thank you for writing her so plain.
I met Blanches is mother in the Wells. She said Mrs Luther Holder was dead. She had influ, that is the first death in their circle, over the water. Isn't it sad with Mr Tipples I am exceedingly sorry, his poor wife, and all relatives how they must feel it.
Old Sharpe has done the garden, but oh the weeds do grow a pace. Did you see Brooks about the pan. Maggie Wickings husbands father died suddenly in the train last week! I fancy it will be a fight between Minnie and Ruth which is to be the first nurseryman or schoolmaster but keep this from Mrs. J Weeks because of the Palmers.
I have an invitation to the wedding of Cyril and Nellie, May 26th at Brenchley church. Have you got anything for Lizzie for me and what about my watch. I should be glad to get it I miss it so much.
Jack is taking his first lesson motor driving, they have just started by our gate Headcorn Lane, Mr Bland instructor. Have you sold your motor, hope so. I saw your mater and dad on Saturday night, they seemed very pleased with your home and surroundings which made me feel I wanted another trip to Mitcham Lane: but not to hurt my foot but to trot about well you are voluble you understand. Suppose you will be spanking the boys tomorrow Gertie Birby pass today for 2 train - back to college.
Aunt Jenny and Rosa are at Hastings for 10 days they want me to go for the weekend. I don't want to! I want a fortnight when I go. Can you read this my hand is very shaky.
Have just received your letter while writing this. I'm very pleased you are well and thank you for letters. Nellie has not started school, I'm waiting to hear from the Wells.
With much love from us both, hoping your colds are better.
Your affectionate mother.
