JOHN CHARLTON HUBBLE was born at Wateringbury on February 10th, 1881. He is a promising batsman and a very useful wicket-keeper. Against Yorkshire, at Harrogate, in 1904 - the match abandoned owing to the wicket being tampered with during the first night - he scored 33 not out and 43, whilst against Lancashire, at Manchester, last year he played an innings of 77. - [S2540] Parish Register for Baptism of Reginald Herbert Hubble, St Michael's Church, Maidstone, Kent, England, 20 May 1906.
