    Dear all
Well this weekend is our 17th anniversary – happy anniversary – sorry I haven’t sent a card but they don’t have such things here.
Nothing much has happened to me since I last wrote except perhaps I’ve had two days without any aircraft on my shift so I took the opportunity to do a little swimming, volleyball, golf and birdwatching – the feathered kind is there is no other kind.
There’s a catfight going on outside, we have quite a few wildcats here – vicious -looking things with short hair and most diseases.
I enclose some photographs of me in glorious colour.
    1. outside one of the blocks amid coconut trees
2.outside my room (behind) with my room boy, that’s my bike behind us.
3.in uniform with my airframe Sergeant outside my office at work.
4.snorkelling in the lagoon. (Sea monsters)
5.on the sea wall at the mess, in the background are some of the other islands.
6.this is the tropical island tourist shot showing coconut trees, lush undergrowth, white beaches, blue skies and distant islands across the lagoon.
7.looking further across, in the background the peer and the local boats called dhonis
8.a magnificent shot of me outside my room (room boy has gone somewhere on my bike)
9.on Fayhil Road showing coral sticking up through the shallow waters with waves breaking on the coral reef – the next bit of land behind where I am standing is Antarctica.
10.local fisherman in dhoni with rescue boat, landing craft and tanker behind
    11.Bob and I opening a coconut.
12.a real monster from the deep
13.me with fish I caught and spare tyre I can’t get rid of.
I hope you are all fit and well and continuing to take things a little slower.
I shall close now for two reasons, first I’m dog tired and I must crawl into bed and secondly I can’t think of any more to say.
    All my love
    daddy
