He waited upon the Queen
Mr. George Lewis Moate, who died last Thursday at his home. Flat 1, Antony House, Torpoint, Cornwall. lived for 15 years at Stansted, where he was butler to Mr. J. A. Findlay, of Stansted Hall.
Born in Kent, Mr. Moate served in the RAF. for five years during the last war. He waited upon the late King and the present Queen at Sir John Carew Pole's London house last year, and upon Princess Margaret and the Duchess of Kent when they stayed at Antony House recently.
The funeral took place at Torpoint on Tuesday. |
