    Text OBITUARY
    Mr. G. L Moat. Torpoint.
    The funeral took place on Tuesday of Mr. George Lewis Moate, butler to Sir John and Lady Carew Pole. of Antony House, Torpoint. Mr. Moate's home was Flat 1 at the house where he died at the age of 49.
    Rev. H. A. Bright conducted the service at Maryfield Church. and Mr. B. W. Benskin officiated at the interment at Antony.
    Born in Kent. Mr. Moate served five years in the R.A.F. in the war. He waited upon the late King and the present Queen at Sir John's London house last year and upon Princess Margaret and The Duchess of Kent they stayed at Antony House not long ago
    Principal mourners were: Mrs. M Moate, widow: Mr. and Mrs Lewis Moate, son and daughter-in-law. Lady Carew Pole. Miss Caroline Carew Pole, Mr. Richard Carew Pole. Lady Carew Pole also represented Cornwall County WVS.

    Among those present were: Messrs. J. Rudd. F. Bradford. R. Lancaster. J. Thom. F. Bulmer. H. G. Hurrell, R. Yeoman. H. Vaux. The British Legion was represented by Messrs. J. W. Hume and C. Evans. and Capt. R. Goad: Mr. and Mrs. E. Hughes (Plymouth). Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Cummings; Mesdames S. Hoskin (also representing Mr. Hoskin) R. Greek, E. Boyce, A. Carter (also representing Wilcove Women's Institute). R. Sammells, B. Fisher. H. Spiller, Benskin, S. Vanstone. K. Spear. G. Vanstone. A. Richards, I Trowbridge, Miss Teagle. Bearers were: G. Paul. T. Turner. A. Spear. R. Boyce. J. Colwill, B. Furneaux.
