PROMOTION. A. L. Guy, stationmaster at Stansted for the past seven years, has been promoted to Harlow and will take up his new appointment next Monday. He served in the last war, and the present war has found him actively occupied with A.R.P. work, First Aid services, etc. Mrs. Guy has had charge of the Stansted First Aid Point since its formation. She is also a member of an Essex Red Cross detachment and served for nearly three years in a Voluntary Mobile Ambulance and Nursing Unit in the last war. Her other interests include the Women's Institute, of which she was formerly secretary. |
