    Text Loose Weddings
    Mr H I Piper and Miss F A Morris
    The principal of the McCabe Commercial School, London Road, Maidstone, Mr. Henry I. Piper, son of the late Mr. Erskine Piper, of Staplehurst, and of Mrs. Lane, was married at Loose Church on Wednesday to Miss Florence A. Morris, daughter of the late Mr. J. Morris and Mrs. Morris, of 6, Vale Road, Loose, who has been an assistant mistress at Mitcham Lane London County Council Demonstration School, Streatham.
    The Vicar, the Rev. A. Maxwell Bury, officiated, the service being choral.
    Given away by her uncle, Mr. Percy Northcote, of Tunbridge Wells, the bride wore a dress of white satin beaute, of very long and full line, with a vandyked hem to a bodice trimmed with pearl and diamante in rose and leaf design. Her coatee of satin was similarly trimmed, and the train falling from her shoulders in fan shape, was adorned with pearl and diamante ornaments. Her tulle veil was embroidered in butterfly design, and she wore a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
    Miss Peggy Heizer, aged three years, was a charming train bearer in flowered organdie over apricot satin, and she wore a wreath of shaded flowers. She carried a basket of pink roses.
    The bridesmaids, Misses Elsie Morris, Ada Sharpe, Ethel Northcote, and Ruby Evans, were attired in ankle length dresses of apricot lace, with deep cape collars of lace edged with frilled ribbon in blue, to match sashes and long ends of ribbon falling from posies of forget-me-nots, at the neck. Their headdresses were Juliet caps of silk, and they carried apricot-coloured roses, and wore gold brocaded shoes.
    Mr. R. Evans, a cousin of the bride, deputised as best man for Mr. Guttridge, of Brixton Hill, whose illness prevented his attendance. The bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. Lane, was also unable to be present owing to a recent motor accident.
    The bride’s mother wore a saxe blue silk dress and black hat, trimmed with a black ostrich feather. She also had a bouquet of roses.
    After a reception at the bride’s home, the happy couple left for their honeymoon at the Isle of Wight. The bride’s travelling dress was of grey silk, trimmed at the neck with grey lace. The skirt was pleated, and her short grey silk coat to match was trimmed with grey fur. The hem was slightly curved upwards in the front, and the revers and cuffs were scalloped. She wore a large pink picture hat and grey kid shoes.
